Welcome to kenilworth 750 commemorating the 'Siege of Kenilworth'

Reflect on the Past...

Enjoy the Present

In 2016 Kenilworth commemorates the 750th Anniversary of The Siege of Kenilworth with a programme of exhibitions, activities and special events including a spectacular recreation of the siege at Kenilworth Castle.

The Siege itself took place between June and December 1266 and is known to be the longest siege to have taken place in Mediaeval Britain. The Siege was fought between King Henry III and supporters of Simon de Montfort and the long and bloody battle has left a fascinating historical and legal legacy.
